Ark Data Centres was established in 2005 to deliver secure and efficient data centres within purpose-built developments. Ark do far more than hold data: they enable businesses and the public sector in every action, interaction and decision.

Importantly, Ark retains long-term ownership of its data centres which ensures that high management standards are maintained, and that Ark can play an active role in the communities where their data centres are situated. This includes providing various employment and apprenticeship opportunities and building partnerships with local educational institutions to promote pathways to employment in the technology sector.
Ark’s clients include major cloud providers, telecommunications providers and financial institutions , as well as a partnership with the Cabinet Office through Crown Hosting Data Centres. Through Crown Hosting Data Centres, Ark has ensured that the public’s experience of IT has been enhanced, has reduced risk for government and is designed to allow the public sector to access services at a fraction of the cost of their competitors and to drive down their own carbon footprint.
